last day and more photo

Today, actually last night mom was not feeling good and she started to throw up. In the morning mom said she would stay in for the day so we went to go eat some breakfast. When we got to the restaurant I ordered pancakes. Five minutes later my pancakes came they were so small I thought they were a quarter. When breakfast was over we hiked up the mountain. When we got to the top I thought I was going to collapse the map said it would take two to three hours but it took us an hour and a half. Sadly we did not see any animals because one person in our group of three was quite loud, no comment. After lunch dad and I went to the water hole to go swimming, it was a little dangerous and we swam up the river to the rapids it was not too dangerous as there was some shallows just before the next rapids, we also played “Lord of the Rings” trying to go under the waterfalls and hiding. We swam down the river very fast with the current, it was very cold but such fun. The river was a little scary as in some places it was 10 foot deep, and we jumped off the cliff into the water.

last day

Today we woke up and jumped on a 25 seater plane. It was a good ride but at the end a boy on the plane started to throw up and if it could not get worse we hit some crazy turbulence I thought we were going to crash. I also thought we were going to crash when we were landing it look like we were a foot off some people houses. Finally when we landed we took a taxi to the hotel that is very nice. We took a walk to some waterfalls, sadly we could not swim at the first one but the second one we could swim but it was very cold. Finally we took another swim at the pool and had a very nice dinner that was three courses.

Monday

Today we got up at 6.30 and had some breakfast. As usual the food took a long time, right when we got our food we had to go the airport to catch a plane, so we did not eat a lot of breakfast. Finally we got there and waited for our plane. When it came we saw it was a 6 seater but when it got to its hanger it nearly ran over two solders smoking in the road it had to cross. When the plane stopped the pilot got out and told us to get in. Ten minutes later we were in the plane when we saw a forest fire smoking all over the place and no one was doing anything. When we landed I met my friend Raimundo (a chief) and went on a boat for and an half an hour. When we got to the village we took pictures of the seeds my dad was buying for his company (that took 2 hours.) finally we left and went on the plane and saw the forest fire was even bigger. When we landed we had dinner and went to bed.

Sunday

Today we woke up at a good time 7:30 to go to get breakfast. We could not eat at the hotel because it is a Sunday and nothing was open, even most of the taxis we not running. When we finally got a taxi it took us to a restaurant that was unfortunately closed. We waited for a while but no one opened the doors so we went to a supermarket (it was a shack) and bought some food for a brunch on the beach. We started to drive to the beach after about half an hour later we got to the beach by the lagoon, and we swam for an hour. When we got out we had a lunch, it was fish but they did not cut off the head so I was not in the mood to eat. Finally we got back to the hotel after swimming a lot more and went to eat some dinner that took a long time to find because again everything was closed. Gevia who works for the people dad works with took us to the beach, she speaks no English. She has a 18 month old son called Gerard who was very cute.

27th March – leave for Puerto Lempira

This morning we got up at 4 in the morning and went to the air port to find our bags. When we got there they said that the plane will come in 3 hours, so we waited. When we waited we missed 3 planes that we were meant to go on. Finally when our bags came we jumped on a non pressurize plane that took us to Puerto lempira. When we got there we landed on a dirt run way and the air port was a shack. We went to our hotel and then went to one of my dads business complex where we jumped on a boat for 2 hours. When we got to Tumtumtara we saw one of the schools they were going to build. Sadly when we were eating Tamsin looked down and hit her head on a piece of metal. My dad came in with his first aid and said it will be okay (I think she will have a scar) and we went on our way. After dad had some meetings we went back on the boat and went back to Puerto lempira where we had dinner that was very good (mom ordered a piece of fish she got a “shark”).
